Schriever Space Force Base Colorado is the operational hub for the US military's satellite constellation — the facility controls GPS satellites, missile warning satellites, and communications satellites critical to all US military operations. A successful attack on Schriever could disable GPS, satellite communications, and missile warning systems simultaneously. The base is approximately 12 miles east of Colorado Springs and represents one of the highest-value targets for adversary anti-satellite and cyber operations in the US.
